I would too. These Steampunk Star Wars ( Starpunk Wars?) are awesome.
The only one I don't like is the Boba Fett. I think it's just too light, I know I know he's a rocketeer but still a closed helm and maybe just a steel cuirass with some welding gloves would have looked better. Plus he's too sgraggly. Boba and Jango were BUILT. /embarresing rant
It looks like a cool idea, but doesn’t really click concept-wise.
I do like the Princess Leia. I think the artist definitely hit the target with that one.
I think it would work well, simply because Star Wars is not a science fiction film, but rather it's an adventure film with SF tropes.* Change the tropes and you can still tell the same story. And Steampunk is a heart a medium, like Swashbucklers, for telling adventure stories.
[* Most people confuse the tropes for the stories. Most films that people believe are SF are actually adventure or action (or even horror) films. There are very few films built around an actual SF premise (although recently there has been a spate of them, often to mixed reviews because people were expecting something different).]
the delicate fabrics on yoda and leia are really impressive.
awesome
I have to say, it's been done before:
